Carlsbad Outlet Center is just a block away from Legoland https://www.legoland.com/california/ . Perhaps it’s no surprise then that the shops cater for international visitors. (This was in a Nike store.)

 A visit that coincided with Thanksgiving gave plenty of opportunity to see how American TV reports the festival.

 On Thanksgiving Day Thanksgiving parades take place in many cities – as well as in New York.

There were another couple of visits to Double Peak Park, once at sunset and once for a picnic lunch.

What a difference - from the blue skies and sunny days of California to touchdown in grey rainswept Britain! What many wonderful memories there are of sights seen and of grand family time together.

Now it’s heads down to prepare for festivities here…
